Over the last few years on QQ (a chat group I am on frequently), I have met many people from Islamic countries. I quickly realized that I have very little knowledge about that culture. I did not study much, if any, of the development of the culture in college. As I now take a look at Islamic history, I also realize that my studies in world history, were inadequate. There was very little attention paid to or emphasis placed upon the country of Spain. However, in looking at Islamic culture and religion, I see that Spain's rich history is of great importance to the Islamic culture and, in fact to the whole world.

in Europe to the Iberian peninsula. Even this proves hard to hold because of hostilities between rival Arab groups. |
